We went there for breakfast and loved it. No mass-produced goods, lovingly prepared food. Priced for what you offer, ok. It's a shame that the shop isn't open in the evening, the location right on the water can do a lot more.

Had I nice American coffee here today, the service was excellent and very helpful. I had a very nice chat with the "Chef" in English, I even ordered a T- shirt ? ? The design is perfect for me as " an old man" when i go fishing. Really worth a visit.

The digital map is very confusing, especially when it comes to specifying food periods. It is difficult to assign which meals are available when. Furthermore, the operation was too fast and asked directly after sitting down what should be ordered without handing over a card or pointing out the digital card. A previous reference to the closed kitchen was also not given.

Great location (even in bad weather). A special breakfast selection, super delicious side dishes (also not so typical things) and everything is served very attractively. The staff is cheerful and friendly. Our order was "delivered" quickly and was as requested. Those who are very hungry should order one or two bread rolls separately. The supplements are also sufficient for this. Thank you for the nice morning in the harbor.

Mega delicious food, coffee, cappuccino, and meals prepared with heart and hand! The finest fish cakes and potato salad. The staff is very friendly. I will most likely eat here again as soon as I am back in Kiel!

Were looking for a classic breakfast in Kiel and the "old man". Everything was super delicious and also very fresh. All coffee specialties with Esspresso are even caffeine-free and the service was also very friendly (and especially during the Corona period very careful with mouthguard and distance). We will definitely visit again next time in Kiel. Thank you and see you next time.

Super delicious food and nice management. They can be hot and cold ;-) The fried potato slices are awesome. Slightly higher prices. But you also get regional and high quality food. Thumbs up.

?? Very good food .... Do not be fooled by the name Pommes. These delicious potato slices have nothing of a fries. A thousand times better. It's worth a visit. Attentive and nice service. We had shashlik and vegetable salmon.

The old man is, I think, my favorite restaurant in Kiel. You sit by the water, watch the ships and can flee from everyday life. The restaurant is popular ... no wonder because here one also manages to spoil the guest with a simple kitchen. My favorite dish is matjes on black bread. The food is always so beautifully prepared on the plate, just for that there is still a star more of me .... An enrichment is the beer garden, here you can sit outside in good weather and watch the ship all day. A great location with friendly staff ......

Nice place with nice view. But kitchen is closed from 2 p.m. up to 6 p.m.

Great atmosphere, Great and simple food.
